Working with the Netherlands
A UK software engineer for Dutch businesses.
Websites, booking systems, AI assistants and bespoke software — one senior engineer, one hour behind you, working in the language Dutch business already runs on.
The Netherlands is probably the easiest country in Europe for a UK engineer to serve: English is effectively a working language, the timezone gap is a single hour, and Dutch SMEs are pragmatic buyers who want outcomes, not ceremony. I build websites that convert, booking systems that take payment, AI assistants that answer customers, and the custom software that removes manual admin — directly, on a fixed quote.
Why this works
Why businesses in the Netherlands work with me.
English-first delivery fits the Dutch market better than almost anywhere — no translation layer between what you ask for and what gets built.
Dutch SMEs are famously direct; so am I. A fixed written quote, honest answers about what's worth building, and no upsell theatre.
I've delivered for European clients before — distributed pan-European teamwork on the EU Parliament project and eCommerce consultancy across northern Europe at Nexer.
GDPR-grade engineering as the default, including architectures where data never leaves your perimeter.
The practical bit
How working together actually runs.
Timezone
The Netherlands is one hour ahead of the UK, year-round. Your 9:00 is my 8:00 — the working days overlap almost completely, so calls, reviews and quick decisions all happen in shared hours.
Contracts & payment
You contract with TSMW Development LTD, a registered UK limited company, on a fixed written quote — euro-denominated if you prefer. International transfer to a UK company is routine for Dutch bookkeeping.
Fully remote delivery
A scoping call, a written proposal, then a live staging link you can open any time. Short video calls at decision points, async updates between them — the same rhythm my UK clients get.
Relevant work
Proof, not promises.
Pan-European delivery, northern-European eCommerce consultancy, and high-traffic retail engineering — relevant miles already on the clock.

Common questions
Questions from the Netherlands.
Do you work with businesses in the Netherlands remotely?
Yes — fully remotely, and the Netherlands is about the easiest market in the world for it: one hour of timezone offset, English as a working language, and a business culture that values directness. Scoping happens on a video call and you follow the build on a live staging link.
Can the site be in Dutch, or Dutch and English?
Yes. I build multilingual sites properly — language-aware routing, translated metadata for SEO, the lot. I engineered the EU Parliament's virtual tour across 24 languages, so a Dutch/English site is comfortable territory.
How do you handle GDPR?
It's built into the architecture from the start — data minimisation, encryption, and clear boundaries on what's processed where. I've built platforms to GDPR-grade standards where no data leaves the perimeter at all.
What about invoicing and currency?
Fixed written quotes from TSMW Development LTD, a UK limited company, denominated in euros if that suits your administration. The agreed price is the invoiced price.
