Working with Canada
A senior UK engineer for Canadian small businesses.
Websites that win enquiries, booking that takes payment, AI that answers customers — built by one person you deal with directly.
Canadian small businesses face the same squeeze as British ones: local agencies are expensive, freelancer marketplaces are a lottery, and off-the-shelf software almost fits but fights you on the rest. I'm a UK-based senior engineer who builds the missing piece — conversion-focused websites, booking systems, AI assistants and custom automation — with a fixed written quote and one person answerable for the result.
Why this works
Why businesses in Canada work with me.
The same plain-dealing, fixed-quote way of working that suits UK businesses tends to suit Canadian ones — no inflated agency ceremony, just scoped work delivered.
My background covers what growing Canadian businesses actually need: payments, insurance-grade reliability, booking and scheduling, and AI integrated into real workflows.
Websites are built to rank — technical SEO and AI-search optimisation (GEO) are part of every build, tuned to the searches your local customers make.
Toronto to Vancouver, the overlap works: your morning is my afternoon, and finished work lands overnight your time.
The practical bit
How working together actually runs.
Timezone
The UK is 5 hours ahead of Toronto and 8 ahead of Vancouver. Eastern Canada shares its whole morning with my afternoon; for the West Coast I hold morning slots that land in your early workday. Nothing about the offset slows delivery — most updates are async anyway.
Contracts & payment
You contract with TSMW Development LTD, a UK limited company, on a fixed written quote — in CAD if that's simpler for your books. Paying a UK company by international transfer is routine.
Fully remote delivery
Scoping call, written proposal, then a live staging link you can check any time. Short decision calls when needed, written updates in between — a rhythm that works as well from Halifax as it does from Manchester.

Common questions
Questions from Canada.
Do you take on Canadian clients remotely?
Yes. The engagement is remote end to end — video scoping call, fixed written quote, live staging link, and short calls at decision points. The UK–Canada overlap (my afternoon, your morning) makes scheduling straightforward.
How does the time difference affect the project?
Mostly in your favour: I'm 5–8 hours ahead, so work I finish during my day is waiting in your inbox when you start yours. For live conversations, Eastern Canada gets my entire afternoon; Western Canada gets my mornings.
Can you quote in Canadian dollars?
Yes — quotes are fixed and written, and can be denominated in CAD. The number agreed before the work starts is the number on the invoice.
What's a typical first project?
Usually a website rebuilt to actually generate enquiries, an online booking system with deposits and reminders, or an AI assistant trained on your business. From there, many clients move on to automating the admin that eats their week.
